Day 7
Day 6
Today I completed the last portion of my journey and probably the toughest as well. I started early today on a bus, but it only took me to some distance closer to you. I then took a lift in a truck and covered the last leg of my journey for today on a shared cab. This trip has been the most green trip as I have tried almost all possible existing means of public transport. CHEERS to go GREEN.
And now - the real question is, where am I or where am I supposed to be and what am I supposed to be doing? Is this all a mere story of which two of us are just the characters or is this for real? Unfortunately I do not have the answers or may be I don't want to give them out.
Dear Pooja:
Its been 4 months we got engaged. CONGRATS. All days since the 16 feb have been great, each better than the previous. To celebrate this feeling of having someone special in my life, I have gift wrapped something and have sent it to you. It might not be the most treasured thing in your life, it might not be the most loved in your life, it might not be the most important, you may not care for it the most, you may not feel attached to it the most but I hope that it might just still bring a little smile on your face. I would feel all this was indeed WORTH it.
I need to sign off for the day but my ipod hangs on to me and sings out loud, " Nothing's gonna change my love for you....". Btw I just noticed, my ipod has been all romantic this trip, I wonder why? Good night!

My Travelogues - Day 4
27 Dec, 2009
4:00 AM – Full night bakar session left us all with very little time to sleep. I switched off all lights at 4:00 AM in the morning only to be woken up by an alarm exactly three and a half hours later.
7:30 AM – Woke up to a very cold morning and it was extremely difficult to leave the blanket. We kept pushing each other to get out of the bed first and get ready. As therefore it became clear, it took us two hours to be ready and reach the breakfast table. Just as we were getting into our car, my stomach gave a tweaking sensation. Not sure on what it was, I decided to ignore the same.
10:00 AM – We are heading towards Manikaran, some 70 KMs or a 3 hour card drive away from Manali. The journey was expected to be a steep downhill journey with very narrow roads.
10:45 AM – We stop at a Hill Shawl factory. Perfect time to do some shopping and make best use of it to impress your mother and if you are lucky enough your girlfriend as well. One guy is married and the rest of us have never had any luck in the later department, so we just decided to impress our mothers so that she chooses the best one for us.
When it comes to shopping, I usually end up deciding on the items within few minutes of entering the shop and very much the same pattern repeated today as well. Since, others were taking far too much time to complete their shopping; I took a walk across the road to be near the river. My stomach was beginning to give me lot more problems than I had imagined. I rested myself against a rock and prayed to God to keep me fit n fine as it was a long day ahead.
Nature has its own set of paradoxes and one such was right there in front of my eyes. The river water was gushing down the stream in full flow making loud noise and yet it was calm all around, so serene, so peaceful. I wonder how the nature manages to create it. And as I was sitting in such surrounding, a thought struck my mind. Why do we drink or consume alcohol? Because all that we remember are things which have made us cry/sad at some point of time in our life. There was another afterthought however. Was this one of my serious reflections or my stomach hangover which was giving me such thoughts?
12:00 PM – We reach a temple site called Vaishnavi temple, still some distance away from Manikaran. I could not figure out much about the significance of this temple but it had some really beautiful wooden carvings. We finished the darshan in quick time; I drank a bottle of Fanta followed by a bottle of Limca and we started again.
1:45 PM – We still have not reached Manikaran and have halted at some point in between. The driver is having lunch, Shweta is munching peanuts and everyone else is busy clicking photographs and I am sitting inside the car (blame my upset/hangover suffering stomach)
2:15 PM – The driver is still having his lunch, the gang is still clicking the picture and I am still sitting inside the car. The status quo has been maintained except Shweta who within the past half n hour has graduated from munching peanuts to munching chocolates.
We had planned that we would return back to our hotel from Manikaran by 4PM that however now looks a far distant possibility.
3:15 PM – We reach Manikaran and what a nature’s site this place is. Manikaran is famous for a hot water spring in between the icy cold waters of river Beas and some wonderful landscapes. It is a famous pilgrimage centre for both Hindus and Sikhs.
According to a Hindu belief, Lord Shiva and Parvati spend 11,00 years here and once when Parvati lost her mani into the river, Lord Shiva instructed his attendants to retrieve the same. Their failure to do so led Lord Shiva to open his third eye and Sheshnag was requested to pacify the lord. It is believed that he hissed so strongly that the water spread over the entire area resulting in the appearance of the mani. However, the hiss gave rise to the boiling water.
According to a Sikh belief, Guru Nanak Dev visited the place and once it happened that he and his disciples had no fire to cook the food. Guru Nanak Dev then lifted a rock and a hot water spring appeared. This is also a reason why one can find a number of devotees cooking rice in the hot water spring as it is considered pious.

My Travelogues - Day 3 contd
2:00 PM: The trek was simply amazing. There was some sunshine during the early parts of the journey. The mountains at the back were full of snow and with sun throwing its yellow light on them; it formed a perfect picturesque moment. We could see helicopters at regular intervals ferrying the visitors up till the Rohtang Pass. At the front were another set of mountains, much darker than the ones behind us. In between them, was the free flowing Beas River with crystal clear water. We were trekking along the river, stopped at many a places and posed for some wonderful set of pictures.
By 2PM we had reached the point from where we could clearly see the shiv temple. It was nothing short of another testimony of God’s existence. The water was flowing down continuously from the waterfall above and it formed a shivling like formation at the site where the temple was located. It was freezing cold here and barefoot darshan of the temple was a spine chilling experience.
On our way back, we settle down for a lunch at a small restaurant located right in the middle of the valley. Mountains all around, river by your side, hot maggi and 6 friends. Ah! What a life.
5:00PM: As soon as we came down from the Shiv temple, we were once again trekking to do some paragliding. Thankfully, this time Shikha and I had got some sense into us and we got ourselves free from the extra and unnecessary baggage at the very first opportunity. Low wind and low visibility could have proved to be a dampener to our paragliding experience. And as we were moving up to the spot, there were people who were coming back disappointed, regular phone calls were exchanged between us to confirm whether the show is still on or not. In the middle of all the confusion, poor Shikha refused to go up any further and she went back along with Chetan. The rest of us somehow managed to reach the top and got ready for the next airy adventure. By the time I reached the spot (yes, I was late again. Blame my astronaut suit which made me really tired), Nitin and Shweta had already descended down.
When my turn came, I was given a heavy dose of instructions of Dos and Donts. The two incidents before me where people fell down and hurt themselves as they could not lift their machine up made me wonder if this is the first and the last time I am going to fly. I prayed to God, “I don’t want to die a bachelor”. All I heard from the instructor was RUN. As soon as I heard the word, I obeyed the same in a true army style and just started running. People were shouting “Well Done! Well Done!”, I could see one on my right clapping as well. I ran with even more power and as the next few seconds unfolded, I realized that there was no ground below me. I was still making the run like movements with my legs, but nothing below me. It took another few seconds before I felt like I was really flying. With mild wind blowing past me, brushing through my hairs and sun setting far off in the mountains, it was a ride through the heaven. And just as I was beginning to enjoy it, I received another set of instructions from the pilot to make some adjustments to my leg position. We were sailing down. It sent down another set of shivers through my spine. One moment, I felt we were going to crash into the hut and another moment we were heading straight towards a tree. But I guess the pilot behind me was an expert and he manoeuvred the machine perfectly for a safe and a sound landing.
7:00PM: It was really dark by now and we headed our journey back to the hotel. In between Shweta’s challenge to run down to the hotel (which eventually none of us accepted), we had our dinner, explored the option of a night out but eventually decided to spend the night in cheating Shweta to the game of Monopoly.

My Travelogues - Day 3
The roads were narrow now, the most infact on the journey so far. One mistake or a minor lack of concentration and the car can go spiralling down the valley.
We pick our suits and head up again. Within 15 minutes, we stop again for the breakfast. Eating hot egg omlette in such suits and those long snow boots was certainly one of its kind experience. Outside, it was now windy as well besides the cold. I was slowly realizing the worth of these as I was feeling considerably warm inside. This place was Kothi. The news from Kothi is that it is very good snow up there but the disappointing part is we might not be able to go upto te Rohtang. Not only the road is covered with snow, it has also become extremely slippery to allow any kind of vehicular movement. Not willing to give up on our excitement yet, with our stomachs full, we began the ascent again.
8:15AM: We reach a site 30 kms before Rohtang Pass. Its all snow and much more can be seen at the mountians upwards from the point from where we are all standing now. This place is 7980m above sea level. Phew, never had imagined that I would come this far. It has become much brighter now compared to when we started. However, there is no sun yet. The sky is clear and so the sunrise would happen soon and would be clear as well. The otherwise green pine trees are also full of snow.
The police officer tells us that our car cannot go beyond the point and we would have to board the local jeep whose tyres have been wrapped with steel chains all around so as to prevent the vehicle from slipping because of the snow. Some bargaining later, we board the jeep to go to even higher altitude.
9:15AM: We reach Gulaba. The temperature is 0 deg C, it is very windy and surprisingly no sun yet. The road till gulaba was extremely narrow with snowy mountains on one side and deepest valley ever seen on the other. At some sharp turns, we could clearly feel the tyres slipping away only to get back on the road in time.
With snow in front of us, our excitement levels reached its zenith. We started walking. Nitin for some reason has found glory in slipping and is doing so very often now. Mind you, it is extremely risky to do that here. I was wondering, who brought him here. Anyways, the first thing that I did after reaching here was to thanks God for the suits which we were wearing. Although they made us look like complete astronauts, yet they were managing pretty well in keeping us a little protected from the cold, strong winds.
As the sun began to emerge from somewhere within the mountains, the colour orange on white snowy mountains felt so pure, so beautiful. I have not seen heaven but may be this is what it is supposed to look like. This was nothing short of a God's miracle and only he is powerful enough to create a moment like this. Between the two mountain peaks, out came the sun bringing life to the entire place. We spent two hours there, playing with snow, a bit of trekking, and lots of poses. Yes, lots of poses but no pictures. And that is so because Praveen forgot the charger in Delhi, Shweta's camera didn't charge enough through the night (since there was hardly power at the hotel) and Chetan forgot the camera cells in the car itself.
I remember from my marketing class, a question was once posed to us, " Who is the biggest competitor to Sony cameras?". The answer is neither canon, nor kodak. The correct answer is a mobile phone. How powerful can this answer be was only realized by me today. So, out came our mobile phones, which also needed some immendiate charging but we started clicking anyways. All was going well, we were gearing up to return to the base when as much as Rs. 130 slipped out of Shweta's hand. As people shouted, I turned immediately, looked back and I could see a 100 Rs note flying freely in the air (swinging like a sinusoidal wave) and down towards the valley. One amongst many localites present there ran behind it doing a Hrithik Roshan from Krishh and managed to fetch back Rs.110. And the reason why money had to come out was because Shikha tried out a daredevil stunt by fitting herself inside a tyre and diving down from a certain height. Gosh, this was risky as well because the tyre is tied to a rope and as you go down, you go down only till the lenght of the rope. And when it stops, it gives a sudden jerk, powerful enough to throw you out of the tyre and make you fly down the valley. If you do not hold on to the tyre strongly with both hands, only God can save you.
There was in fact more to thank God. While we were going down, our jeep got stuck at a turning. The driver gave a full raise, but the tyres continued to rotate on their axis only and did not move ahead. Praveen suddenly jumped out of the jeep and started running ahead. Sensing something wrong, I too started to unbolt the front door. At this the driver shouted back and instructed not to move because it would make the jeep lighter and increase the risk of slipping. As the driver continued to give raise, all of us tried to find the humour in going down. Unsuccessful, the tension began to mount with every second now. Suddenly, I found that instead of going ahead or backwards, the jeep was sliding sideways. I gave a quick glance to my left, it was a deep valley, so deep that if we do go down, it would take at least two days for someone to locate us. Suddenly, I saw Praveen coming towards us and with him were two more men, probably the local people. This brought a certain relief to a few tense moments. These localites then helped put the jeep back on track. The scariest few minutes of my life had just past away.
We reunite with our driver and begin the downwards journey towards our next destination for the day, solang Valley.
I do not know why, but my i-pod has just switched on " We shall overcome, we shall overcome, hum honge kamyab..ek din...mann mein hai vishwas, poora hai vishwas, hum honge kaamyab ek din". Enjoy!

My Travelogues - Day 2
Merry X-MAS
12:15PM: We halt at a road side dhaba. This place is around 69Kms before Manali. Everyone steps down the stairs to reach the river side. Living in Delhi, cannot imagine that water can also be so pure, clean and transparent. River Beas was flowing in its full glory and it separated us from the tall mountains on the other side. There was not much snow yet, no sun either. The weather was cloudy and very windy. We struck some conventional and some unconventional poses for Chetan as he donned the hat of being the official photographer of the trip. Sometimes you pay a heavy price for even carrying the camera. We order maggi and it vanished even before it arrived.
2:15PM: We reach Manali and check into our Hotel. Its called Hotel Beas and is situated right on the river beas. We can see the river from the windows of our room and it makes a gushing sound as it flows in full speed and might. If you close the curtains of the room, the sound is so loud that it appears as if it is raining outside. So, Chetan and Shikha in one room, Shweta gets the luxury of having one complete room all by herself and the three of us are therefore left with no other option but to share one room. By this time, the Maggi had completely digested and we felt a strong need to fill our stomachs once again. A quick shower for everyone and we headed out for much needed lunch.
I was still wondering why anyone would need to take a bath in this cold weather. If I can recall it was Praveen who initiated a discussion on taking bath and he went ahead and had one. I guess the rest of us had a bath only to prove that we are not left behind either and can also bare all in this chilling weather. From inside, none of us really wanted to try bathing in such weather. Chetan and Shikha were the only intelligent people not to take the risk. Cheers to them.
4:30PM: Lunch at Mt. View restaurant, Chinese food. I never like it that much, was much more in favour of Italian, but nonetheless ate whatever was ordered by the group. We just did a little stroll at the mall area but since everyone was so tired, we all decided against going any further and headed back to the hotel.
8:30PM: Candle light was a perfect thing to happen at the hotel. It was pitch dark outside and the moon was shining brightly up in the sky. I remember someone loved looking at the moon while in college. How much I wish for that person to be here with me today and indulge in a romantic candle light dinner under the moon. WOW, lovely. Fortunately the food was good as well with dal makhani, paneer and custard in the end. A small walk on the dark road post dinner, hand in hand was something that just remained a fantasy for me. I guess something needs to be left to do in the next trip as well.
Tomorrow, we plan to go to Rohtang Pass and Solan Valley and hence needed to get up really early in the morning so as to avoid the peak traffic time. With no energy to do anything else, we crashed into our beds. Good night!
My i-pod goes romantic, “na hai ye paana, na khona hi hai....tera na hona, jaane kyun hona hi hai.....tum se hi din hota hai, surmayi raat aati hai....tum se hi, tum se hi”

My Travelogues - Part I
24 Dec, 2009
6PM: With my backpack ready, I boarded the cycle rickshaw for Chetan’s home. As I reached, I realised that Chetan has yet not arrived from work and obviously there is no news of Praveen either, going absolutely against what was decided. Shweta and Nitin were calling more frequently now as the time passes by. And I am feeling the heat because I was the one who had asked them to be ready early in the evening so as to avoid a lot of late night drive.
8PM: Still no news of the two guys and it seems that Shikha had not even packed yet. I was only wondering how much delay before we start.
I struggled to see India/Srilanka match in between Aunty’s channel hopping from one serial to another. Glad to see her back in full fitness post the operation.
Chetan just called, says he is at Britannia Chowk.
8:30PM: Chetan arrives and we call the driver, the guy who is supposed to drive all night and ensure our safe arrival in the city of Manali. The driver says he is stuck in Gurgaon, which means further delay from our or rather my scheduled time of departure. I watch some more television, surf the internet for some time, drink another cold drink with no fizz and also eat dinner. Now this last part was very disappointing because one reason why we (I mean I) wanted to start early was to stop at Murthal and have dinner there. But now with stomach full, chances of stopping at Murthal are slim.
Still no news of Praveen.
9:45PM: Praveen finally arrives but not before the drama straight out of a Bollywood teen romantic movies.
“Come out and receive me”, Praveen calls and instructs Chetan.
“I will go and get him”, I volunteered to face the suspicious eyes of big brother and two cute kids. “Yes bhaiya, we will have dinner, spend the night at Chetan’s place and set sail in the early hours of the morning only”, we are good at bluffing, after all we are lancercoolgang.
10:00PM: Praveen, Chetan, Shikha and I board our innova car and thus began the journey. Praveen still cannot believe that we are actually going to Manali and more so we are going together. We stop to buy some drinks and head towards Rohini to pick up Nitin and Shweta.
More drama was waiting to unfold as we reach Shweta’s place. Though Nitin arrived smoothly, we waited for some half n hour outside Shweta’s home, but no sign of her. First to come was Shweta’s brother and the only question he asked was, “where is Harshita?’. Now, I do not remember who but someone said she was not even supposed to come. Shocked! he said that Shweta told her that even she was going. And then he left.
We waited more. No sign of Shweta still. As the suspense was not beginning to end, Chetan said, “May be she is not coming now”. I was still hopeful though, lancercoolgang cannot be jinxed. I mean, this is our first trip together and it had to go on by hook or by crook. Even if we have to kidnap Shweta, we would still do it.
Finally I see Shweta coming down the stairs with her entire family and everyone was carrying at least one bag. I was wondering if she plans to return with us or not. As soon as she hit the last step, she gave out an expression of shock, something which we were least expecting. “Where the hell is Harshita?” The only thought that crossed our mind was she too had bluffed about the presence of another girl on the trip and so like true lancercoolgang, we played along. Chetan was obviously our best bet to play such bouncers.
“Oh actually Uncle! Harshita has to urgently attend one of the official conference in Bangalore and unfortunately her boss cancelled her vacation because of which she could not make this trip.”
No one noticed but I was laughing my heart out and with Praveen by my side, we were only wondering when we would start.
11:00PM: All izz well. Truly, I believe in it all the more now. With everything settled in, we finally started the long journey towards Manali. We had to drive the entire night and then half of the day tomorrow to reach Manali. The route was
Delhi – Murthal – Karnal – Bilaspur – Kullu – Manali
11:45PM: Our first stop – Murthal. Few pictures by the car, one parantha each and one ice cream for Shweta, the loo session, tea for the driver and we begin again. Ready for the non-stop drive through the wonderful night. The moon was out in full glory, stars were shining brightly, smooth road ahead, one car, six friends – what a life.
My i-pod sings along, " Yaaron, dosti badi hi haseen hai, ye na ho to kya fir ye zindagi hai"

Look down your window - What does it say?
I see the cars passing by
But don’t feel like driving ‘em
I see the bikes zooming around
Am in no mood to zipping away
I see people running for work
I remember a trip with the friends
I see girls late for the exam
How i wish I had given none in my life
Show me something new...O my eyes
And i close them
I open and look down from the window again
I see the drops of rain
And I want to get wet
I see the kids playing with the ball
And I want to join them
There is no past, no future and only the present now
And I ..........
have only the smiles

Anushree joining i-dream
Sunday, January 31, 2010
Yes....i still exist
Needless to say, my journey has moved many a miles ahead. It started off with Ansuhree joining the i-dream team, unofficial collaboration with a number of people from our industry of work, the most memorable trip of my life to Manali with the school gang, playing all songs of 3 idiots on my guitar, Janet's marriage, our family shifting back to our old home (post the renovation) and the biggest - the culmination of Green 2010, i-dream's first solo attempt at doing a campaign for our city.
And there is a blog post due on each of the things that have been listed above. I log off with a promise to come back again for each of the moments above hold a special importance in my life and I need to preserve them with my own words.
My i-pod today is playing along with my guitar, " give me some sunshine, give me some rain..I wanna grow up once again". Enjoy!

Feature on rediff
Just go ahead and read the link. It features i-dream. As a part of their Get ahead series, Rediff.com has published my interview. From the marketing point of view, I do not see it as affecting our business much but as long as the article is there, I can atleast enjoy some moments of glory :).
The news however could have brought some more joy to me but a non encouraging reaction from some people close has not really helped the cause. This however only means that there is a lot more to do to prove myself. The question is AM I READY? The answer is YES. So, lets get going.
i-pod is missing someone, i dunno who but it has just switched on, " aakhein band kar lun to main dekhun bas tumhe...khwabon mein hi keh skta hun, apna tumhe.....rehne de mera ye waham pe hi yakeen...na jaaa abhi...pyaar ki ye raat hai ab na jaa.....choti si ek baat hai...ab na jaa". Enjoy!

The First Cheque
Nevertheless, it certainly marks a new chapter in the journey of i-dream. It reminds me that the journey has just begun and we have miles to go before we decide on further miles that we need to go. It also encourages me to go on during these tough times (amongst all the negative speculations), take the idea further and most importantly make it grow.
In the past two months, that I have been working with our first school, the experience has been amazing. The classes and students are now begining to be coming under my control as well as influence. There has still not been much change in the mindset of a lot of students, but some of them are begining to listen to me and understand what I am trying to convey. Its an indication that if a serious attempt is made, we can atleast ensure that our next generation will be a lot more environmentally conscious and caring, which would therefore ensure a safe future for all of us.
BTW guitar is now strumming in full flow. I also managed to write and compose a song, all by my own. Very small but for me it is a significant achievement in my attempt to understand music and its influence on my life.
Oh and my i-pod is happy but is playing a strange collection of song. Currently it goes something like this" O re manwa tu to bawra hai, tu hi jaane tu kya sochta hai.....
tu hi jaane tu kya sochta hai baawre...kyun dikhaye sapne tu sote jaagte,
jo barse sapne boond boond, nainon ko moond moond
kaise main chalun, dekh na sakun, anjaane raaste...
gunja sa koi hai ek tara, ek tara
gunjsa sa hai koi ek tara
gunja sa hai koi ek tara, ek tara....gunja sa ha koi ek tara"

Hey Wassup
I am refering to the 15 day acting workshop conducted by Vineet Kumar at Lodhi Road. The experience was just fantastic. I was always interested in acting and other aspects of making and designing a story and therefore through this workshop wanted to see for myself if my interest is actually sustainable. After having spent the 15 days designing and acting in a theatre play, I am convinced that this certainly is one of my interest areas. And now, I do have plans to pursue it. How?? I am yet to figure out but hopefully will do that in some time from now.
But as far as the workshop is concerned, the learnings were far beyond just the techniques of theatre. Theatre in true sense can teach you a lot about life as well. You make rules only to break them. You set benchmarks only to take the next step. You become a totally different person while on stage, you can solve your life's issues by being a part of the world of theatre. I feel it may be an illusion but it is amazing.
For i-dream, product development is still in progress. Rerceived some flak for a few sessions last week. I have tried to make up for it in today's session by including activities and live examples. Still waiting for the feedback though. At the same time however, we now need to start working aggresively on the marketing side. The target is to sign up atleast 10 schools by this year end. Anushree is doing a good job by developing some positive leads and we are hopeful that we would be able to sign up a few of them.
My i-pod is happy and is singing along, " Band baje hai conutry ka..haa band baje hai ki country ka". After all, its chamkile bakre ki kahani. Enjoy!

Sir, May I go to toilet!
Imagine you are standing in front of 50 students from class VI to class VIII and this is what happens to you in the next one hour:
" Sir, may I go to the toilet"
"Sir, may I go to drink water"
"Sir, may I go an wash my hands"
"Sir, he is beating me and she is throwing pens at me"
"Sir, may I do my Maths homework"
"Sir, he has stolen my pencil box"
"Sir, Kalpana Mam is calling me"
"Sir, I need to go for basketball practise"
I do not know at the end of if, how would you react but I pulled out all my hairs. So much so that I had to then rush to a barber to get it all fixed up to avoid any further embarrassment. But, this is exactly what I have been through in the first few days since we have started our program. The good news however is that now I can claim that i-dream is underway. We have officially signed up our first school and began working in it since August.
However, the challenge as I had expected is huge. There are students who are just not interested in listening. These are those with typical Kya Farak Padta Hai attitude. Teachers and friends tell me, there will always be such students in every class. My argument: they are all equally capable, how can we inspire them to do extraordinary things in life. The challenge is more so when it comes to doing something for the environment because even the top 20% students need to be inspired equally. We will try but only time will tell if we can crack this up or not.
As far as i-dream is concerned, we are working full steam to get all the content in place. These days, I am not doing much of sales and involved only in content development and delivery. Once all our content is ready which should happen by end of September, we will go ahead with our sales plan. We would then need some good quality trainers as well.
Another latest is that, I have joined a theatre society in Delhi and will be attending their 15 day workshop beginning this sunday. Now I know, PP and Rashmi would yell their favourite words at me, " Nautanki". But I am sure, it would be interesting and fun.
It is finally raining in Delhi now and my i-pod says, " maine pehli baar mohabbat ki hai, maine aakhri baar mohabbat ki hai." Enjoy

The First Break
Well, it may just be so for i-dream. Today, we have verbally signed our first contract with the school. Hopefully, now there won't be any further problems and we would be able to begin the work in the school. The school in question is New State Academy located at Pitam Pura.
The school is headed by Dr. Sangeeta Bhatia and she is an extremely dynamic person. And I am not just saying because she has given us our first opportunity, but she has also encouraged us to chase our dreams and make it a reality.
With i-dream on the verge of getting its first school, the task ahead is huge. We would now need to sit and design all our content formally and give it a proper shape. This would I know require huge amount of effort and what is even more critical is that we need to complete the process fast as well. Meanwhile, my friend Anushree is doing a fantastic job covering all South Delhi schools. In her first few calls itself, she has been pretty impressive to talk through with the principals about i-dream. If, she does continue the way she is doing right now, I am quite positive, that we would be able to meet our first year targets. So, Kudos to her.
So, I am off to work now as there is lots that needs to be done. BTW today was also the day when my chota haathi (read my alto) completed a landmark 5000 Kms and it is therefore now due for its second service.
And my i-pod is enjoying the rains and is singing the romantic tune, " Tune jo na kaha main wo sunta raha, khaamkhan bewajah khwaab bunta raha". Enjoy!
